FLB Law Beautifies the Gillespie Center for a Meaningful and Fun Day of Service

The FLB Law team took a break from their usual work attire and put on their gardening clothes and gloves to volunteer at the Gillespie Center, an emergency shelter for single men in Westport, CT.

The firm believes in giving back to the community and asked their team for suggestions on where to donate their time. The Gillespie Center was one of the options, so the firm ordered flowers and mulch from Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk and closed the office a little early for a community service afternoon.

The Homes for Hope CEO & President, Helen McAlinden, welcomed the group and shared information about the Gillespie House and Homes for Hope. The team spent a few hours working hard to beautify the grounds by weeding, planting, and laying mulch. The day ended with a well-deserved dinner at the Spotted Horse Tavern.
