FLB Law Supports the Sterling House Backpack/School Supply Drive

Westport, Conn. (September 10, 2024)—FLB Law, a full-service law firm in Westport, Connecticut, held a Day of Service on August 21, 2024, in support of the Sterling House Community Center’s Back-2-School event. The event, open to all Stratford, CT, students, provides school supplies to school-age children, including uniforms, backpacks, crayons, pencils, scissors, notebooks and more.

Located in Stratford, Connecticut, the Sterling House Community Center has been a cornerstone of support and connection for over 90 years, offering generations of children and adults programs ranging from preschool and after-school activities to summer camps, athletics, a food pantry, and more.

FLB Law attorneys and staff recently hosted an in-office happy hour, catered by longtime client bartaco, to pack backpacks full of supplies purchased by the firm. The conference room was transformed into an assembly line, with school supplies ready to be packed. Adding to the fun, the firm's cornhole game made an appearance, sparking some friendly competition and fun.

"Giving back to our community is deeply embedded in our culture," said Eric Bernheim, managing partner at FLB Law. "This event is just one of several Days of Service we organize each year. To ensure we align with our team's values personally and professionally, we conduct an annual survey to gather feedback and suggestions. Supporting Sterling House was one of the thoughtful recommendations from our team this year, and we were proud to contribute to such a meaningful cause."

Earlier this year, the firm volunteered at Arts Westchester and will hold one more Day of Service before the end of the year.
